Mary Becher-Johnson. President.

David Knies. Vice President of Operations, Past President. David started with IMPHuntsville in 1996 as a technical theatre student. After graduation and a brief hiatus from the theatre world, he returned and hasn't stopped since. He currently supports IMPHuntsville's many talented casts and fellow technical colleagues as our resident Sound Director and is assisted by an irreplaceable group of fellow volunteers. He has also been known the fill the role of "bottle washer." He is an avid aviation enthusiast, licensed pilot, and Board member with several other charities. He and his wife live in South Huntsville.

Susan Stricklin. Vice President of Engagement, Past President. Susan has been active in the theater community for many years both as an individual and as parent of three now grown children who regularly perform in the area as do her two granddaughters.  She is active on various committees with Arts Huntsville. Susan is the retired Administrative Assistant/secretary to Peter Lowe, President of G. W. Jones & Sons Real Estate Investment Co., Inc. Susan was also active with the Huntsville/Madison County Builders Association with her late husband, Steve Stricklin of Stricklin Custom Homes.

Sallye Elliott. Treasurer. Sallye joined the IMP board in the summer of 2022 and is thrilled to serve with so many excellent and experienced thespians and technicians. Sallye has worked with and served on the boards of several different volunteer organizations, and brings that experience to contribute to IMP.  After organizing 5 kids and assorted band directors and belly dancers, she is ready to take on actors! Sallye is a licensed Realtor with Shelby Stricklin Team during the day.

Carla Larry. Secretary. Carla joined the IMP Board during the summer of 2022.  She is definitely no stranger to the Theatre Arts!  She has been involved with theatre through AAA and Lee High school with her two sons working in Technical Theater.  Her husband, Larue, has also been involved as a musician both with Huntsville City Schools, Calhoun Community College Theatre and IMP for many years.  Although Carla has not been on the stage, she is definitely no stranger to theatre and she works behind the scenes to help make shows happen.  She serves on the Audio/Visual Ministry at her church and has been employed in the Business Office at Calhoun Community College since 1997.  Carla is honored to be working with IMP and helping bring theatre to the masses.

Vivienne Atkins. Founder. Vivienne is IMP’s founder and Artistic Director.  Vivienne spent two years in professional theatre before entering the world of education. She retired as Coordinator of the Creative and performing Arts Magnet Program at Lee High School, and as the founder of Lee Lyric Theatre. She taught Choral music, Vocal Performance, Theater Performance, and Technical Theater Production during her tenure there, as well.  Her honors include the prestigious Virginia Hamill Simms Award for Artistic Excellent, the Women’s Economic Development Council Award for Artistic Contribution, the Oakwood University Award for community Arts Leadership, and the Outstanding Arts Administrator Award from the Huntsville Youth Orchestra.  She has won numerous accolades for her directorial abilities.

Claire Johnson. Claire is a nature lover and theatre enthusiast who has lived in Huntsville most of her life.  She has served on the IMP Board of Directors since the summer of 2021 and has been involved with a variety of local theatre companies, both on and off stage since 2010, including several IMPHuntsville cabarets and musicals.  Claire spent much of her professional career working in local media, and now enjoys her position as digital advertising specialist for the Environmental Defense Fund.

Ellie Tsikalas. Ellie is honored to be serving on the IMPHuntsville Board since 2021. She is a wife, a mom, a local Nurse Practitioner, and a musical theatre kid who never quite grew up. She enjoys working behind the curtain and has served as the producer for IMP's RENT in Feb 2022, the medical liaison/production assistant for IMP's NEWSIES in July 2021, and has done assorted production assistant work with Fantasy Playhouse & other local groups. She is also the medical chaperone for the James Clemens Theatre program. A few of her recent actor credits include Light in the Piazza, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, and The Sound of Music. She is honored to be an IMP board member and is passionate about providing positive theatre experiences for cast, crew, and audiences alike.
